Gala Celebrity Premiere Pride and Prejudice, 6  September 2005

A star studded Gala Celebrity Premiere of Pride and Prejudice (the first showing of this  latest film adaptation, outside of London) was a big fundraising event for the Chesil Theatre.

Some of the stars of the film, Matthew MacFadyen, Brenda Blethyn and Jena Malone, made personal appearances at the premiere along with the director, Jo Wright.

All profits from the evening will go towards the Chesil Theatre's Development Appeal, launched to raise funds for an exciting project, which will greatly enhance and extend the facilities of this much-loved unique Winchester theatre.
