wheelchair logo Facilities for people with disabilities

chesil theatre logo

There is level access from the pavement outside the Chesil theatre into the auditorium.

If you are a wheelchair user or are disabled you need to book in advance.

This is because we need to change the seating arrangements in good time. Seating for wheelchair users and disabled people is in the front row (Row 'A') of the auditorium.

IMPORTANT: Rows 'B' to 'F' are reached via stairs. If you have difficulty with stairs please book seats in Row 'A'

We regret that our WCs are not wheelchair-accessible. However there is easy level access to the WCs (and the theatre bar) from the auditorium.

hearing aid logoHearing Impaired: The Chesil Theatre now has an infra-red transmission system. The best quality of sound is through the headsets, which you can borrow from the Front of House Manager.  The system was generously funded by the Gannet Foundation.

If you prefer to use the T switch on your hearing aid, you will need to borrow an induction loop aerial, also available from the Front of House Manager, which is worn around the neck.
