Music hall – a thing of the past? Certainly not! For two nights only Chesil Theatre is delighted to welcome back Mark Ponsford for another of his captivating one-man shows , again in aid of the Chesil Theatre Development Appeal.

The music hall brought so many talents to the stage – George Formby, Gracie Fields, Max Miller, Ken Dodd, Peter Ustinov, to name but a few. This unique yet informal blend of music, comedy and monologues had, and still has, a universal appeal, described by John Osborne as “truly a folk art”.

Mark’s presentation of authentic material remains funny, poignant and sometimes surprisingly saucy – taking us all back to those “Good Old Days”. Audience participation is welcome but not compulsory!
