Blood Wedding tells the story of a couple drawn irresistibly together in the face of an arranged marriage.

Set in a village community in Andalusia, this passionate and intensely lyrical play combines realism with symbolism and the action is always enhanced by the poetry and inherent music within the text.

Written when Federico Garcia Lorca, the poet, painter, musician, theatre director and Spain's most celebrated dramatist was at the height of his powers, it is the play on which his international reputation was founded.
