Billy Fisher is a young man living with his working class family in a dull
Northern town. He is a clerk in the local undertakers and in order to escape from his dreary life, he finds solace in fantasy and daydreams, which are on a rather grander scale than most. He makes up stories and presents them as fact. Eventually he finds himself trapped in an increasingly complex maze of deceit where truth and fiction are inextricably tangled. What is a lie? ‘Tis but the truth in masquerade Warning: This play contains some strong language |
