Married to a man she despises, Hedda longs to find a purpose in life but lacks the courage to defy convention.

The arrival of a figure from her past sets off a train of events that she struggles to control but which lead to tragic consequences.

Is Hedda a rebel against the restrictions of her society, a manipulative villain or a victim of circumstance?

People don't do such things!
