Prime Theatre’s first touring production in 2007, the beautiful play Old World, received excellent critical acclaim and was very much enjoyed by Chesil Theatre audiences.

Now, the company is delighted to present a very different show for your enjoyment ... Thanks for the Memory. It is a light-hearted entertainment which zips along through the ‘30s, ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s, using music, poetry, news headlines, sound effects and sketches.

Prime Theatre’s co-founders, Ros and Peter Liddiard, long-time Chesil members, recall many familiar favourites including Noel Coward, Joyce Grenfell, Flanagan & Allen and The Beatles ... plus many others.

Thanks for the Memory is especially enjoyable for those who can remember singing round the “Old Joanna” in pubs and homely parlours.

You can join in with singing some good old standards, or you can sit back and enjoy listening – it’s your choice! And, even if your memories don’t go back that far, the show is really good fun, and informative, for all ages

Finally, as Prime Theatre is funded to encourage older people into the theatre, there are free tickets and transport available for this show. If you are an organiser, or a member, of a club for seniors, please call Ros or Peter (01962 861758) for information about the free ticket and transport offer.
