  • There are two auditions of equal weight but you need only attend one of them.

  • You do not have to join the society to audition but - if cast - you must do so.

  • You do not have to learn the audition pieces.

  • You will be seen by the director, producer and representatives of the Production Sub Committee.

  • You will be asked to give the director all dates you cannot make. So bring your diary!

Rehearsals are usually held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with some Sundays. However,  particularly before the play moves into the theatre, other nights may well be used.

  • You can opt for just one role, more than one role or as "cast". They will not necessarily be be seen in every role.

  • No decisions are announced on the night. You should hear within a few days whether you have been cast.

  • The play reading evening is a social event - it is not part of the audition process.
