We encourage workshop members to audition for the Theatre's main productions and our seasons are now planned with a view to making use of their talents and enthusiasm.
During our 2001/2, 2002/3 and 2003/4 seasons, youth workshop members have taken
thirty parts in ten of the Chesil's eighteen main productions; The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie,
Dreams of Anne Frank, Arcadia, Twelfth Night, The Heiress, The Merry Wives
of Windsor, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, My Three Angels, She Stoops
To Conquer and A Day in the Death of Joe Egg. Our contributions
continue in 2004/5 with young members taking part in The Day After The
Fair and Shadowlands.
As well as acting, some workshop members have become highly valued members of our back-stage production teams, helping to build the sets and operate the sound and lights. Some have also joined our production committee helping to select plays for our future
programme.
