It's 1937. The quiet lives of two mature unmarried sisters are disturbed by the unexpected appearance of a young man, washed ashore near their cottage after a storm. As they nurse him back to health, he comes to represent all they have missed. And one day he will have to leave...

Reading and Audition Info.

Our readings are social occasions where members of the public are welcome to join us reading the play! They give a sense of the play, and the director's vision, but they are not auditions and are open to all. The reading for Ladies in Lavender will be at 7:30pm at the theatre on 28th November 2025.

The cast comprises of 4 females (1 20s-30s and 3 50s-70s) and 2 males (1 20s-30s and 1 50s-70s). Auditions will be held at 7:30pm on 30th November and 1st December at the theatre. You do not need to attend both dates and do not need to book to audition, just turn up!
