From behind the net curtains of their semi-detached home, Mr and Mrs Peach scrutinise their new neighbours, the Chapmans, ambitious young professionals, vociferous in their dissatisfactions.

Friendly overtures are met with resistance and small tensions rapidly escalate out of all proportion. Fuelled by the expenses and frustrations of everyday life in the suburbs, Mr Peach seems headed for a melt-down. He’s not the only one…

Contains adult themes, some strong language and moderate violence.

Reading and Audition Info.

Our readings are social occasions where Chesil members and members of the public can come and either join in with a read-through of the play, or simply listen in! They give a sense of the play, and the director's vision, but they are not auditions and are open to all. The reading for Nasty Neighbours will be at 7:45pm at the theatre on 2nd December 2022.

The cast comprises of 3 couples, two middle-aged, one younger.

Audition pieces can be found to download to the right. Limited paper copies will be available at the theatre.
