The celebrated Conan Doyle story, The Hound of the Baskerville's gets a gloriously funny makeover at the Chesil Theatre, Winchester this November.
Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead on his estate, a look of terror etched on his face and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside his body. Who but the great detective Sherlock Holmes can solve the mystery of the death and halt the ancient curse of the Hound of the Baskervilles?
Director, John Wakeman, says: "We are looking for a cast of three men. Between them, they portray 15 characters across 38 scenes ranging from the foggy streets of London to the chilly sweeps of Dartmoor . It will be an exciting and energetic challenge both for those on stage and those working behind!"
The reading is on Friday September 1st, with auditions on Saturday 2nd at 2.30pm and Sunday 3rd at 7.45pm. All events are at the Chesil Theatre. Newcomers are always welcome. The play runs from Saturday November 18th until November 25th.
