Two eleven-year-old boys squabble and fight - as they do. However, the end result is not just a few bruises which will soon heal, but a child with two missing teeth.
Soon after the two sets of parents, the Novaks and the Raleighs, get together to resolve the matter. At first diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, tensions emerge, tempers and voices are raised and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.
Mary Stone, the director, said: "Reza is the author of the smash hit, Art, performed by the Chesil in 2010. This play has the same wit and black, acerbic humour as the parents' natural anxieties gradually give way to behaviour and language far worse than that of their sons."
The play opens on Saturday September 17th and runs until Saturday 24th at 7.45pm with a matinee at 2.30pm on 24th. Tickets, from £11 can be purchased online chesiltheatre.org.uk or by calling 0333 666 3366.
