This funny and charming play is an insight into the legendary, eccentric and inspirational literary agent, Peggy Ramsay. She believed that the living playwright belonged at the heart of theatre and that, without new writing, theatre was worthless. The action focuses on one day when old clients are exiting and new ones are entering. It is a wry and witty account of an extraordinary woman who nurtured generations of playwrights.

Contains some strong language.

Reading and Audition Info.

Our readings are social occasions where Chesil members and members of the public can come and either join in with a read-through of the play, or simply listen in! They give a sense of the play, and the director's vision, but they are not auditions and are open to all. The reading for Peggy for You will be at 7:45pm at the theatre on 2nd September 2022.

The cast comprises of 2 female roles (one 50s, one any age) and 3 male roles (20s-30s, one Northern accent).
