At the height of his career, Oscar Wilde finds himself prosecuted for 'gross indecency'. With only hours before the police arrive to arrest him, he faces a life-altering decision: flee England and avoid imprisonment - or stay and risk everything for love and principle.

David Hare's powerful play explores the cost of loyalty and pride, and bthe tragedy of a love betrayed.

Reading and Audition Info.

Our readings are social occasions where members of the public are welcome to join us reading the play! They give a sense of the play, and the director's vision, but they are not auditions and are open to all. The reading for The Judas Kiss will be at 7:30pm at the theatre on 17th October 2025.

The cast comprises of 1 female (20s-30s), 5 males (2 20s-30s and 3 30s-50s) and 1 role which can be either gender (30s-50s). Auditions will be held at 7:30pm on 19th and 20th October at the theatre. You do not need to attend both dates and do not need to book to audition, just turn up!
