This new and ingenious adaptation reworks the familiar classic tale of treasure-seeking and piracy. Jim Hawkins, Long John Silver and Ben Gunn are here of course but alongside them, powerful women, mischievous rats and magical mer-folk - all accompanied by full-throated song, imaginative puppetry and the general jollity of pantomime. Perfect fare for an outdoor summer production to entertain young and old alike.

Reading and Audition Info.

Our readings are social occasions where Chesil members and members of the public can come and either join in with a read-through of the play, or simply listen in! They give a sense of the play, and the director's vision, but they are not auditions and are open to all. The reading for Treasure Island will be at 7:45pm at the theatre on 21st April 2023.

There is a large cast of mixed genders and ages, including the involvement of the Chesil Youth Theatre.

Audition pieces can be found to download to the right. Limited paper copies will be available at the theatre.
